What Is Sports Massage?

Sports massage focuses on particular muscle systems relevent to your sport. It is applied to maximise your training, performance and recovery. It can be carried out within your training, pre-event, during the event, post event and for your injury treatment.

Sports massage is a combination of different techniques for example Swedish and deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, soft tissue release therapy, myofacial releases, PNF stretching and orthopedic testing to name a few. A good therapist will know when to use these techniques correctly and at what time throughout the athletes sporting program.
